We are delighted to welcome back the IWA Waterways Recovery Group WRG volunteers with team leader David assisted by Paul. Welcome to some new faces including four students working for their Duke of Edinburgh Award and the return of volunteers from the last very successful work group. Thanks to the Stonehouse Gang for providing accommodation Harborne Baths for showers , Scouts for the use of their Hut, and neighbour Michael for providing water. Of course main thanks to the volunteers for their invaluable help with restoring the Dudley No 2 canal and by example boosting our funding activity.
The group settled in quickly measuring the new ramp and digging holes for the fence posts, unfortunately one of the petrol hole borers was not working and will be replaced. Tomorrow we expect the delivery of materials to start. We will issue daily progress reports, so watch this space
